Lovells offer two towing upgrade options, either a Stage 1 or Stage 2. Stage 1 BTC upgrade kit increases the towing to 4000kg and offers a maximum ball weight of 350kg. This kit comes with a dual height adjustable tongue but is not suited for a weight distribution system. The Stage 1 kit is more suited to a boat trailer etc.
Stage 2 BTC upgrade kit increases the towing to 4000kg and offers a maximum ball weight of 400kg. This kit is an all-terrain off-road coupling and is rated at 5500kg and comes with 2 optional drop shanks for maximum height options/ adjustment. It also comes with a 12000lb weight distribution hitch system, anti-theft auto locking system and is fully sealed from dust and dirt, this is by far the most popular towing upgrade kit.
Note: A Lovells Towing Upgrade (BTC) can only be fitted to a vehicle that has a Lovells GVM upgrade.
